Day 28 LEJOG

Last day at my Mum’s. Bit of a cooler, windier morning. Colin dropped us off before heading north. Upwards past Friendly donkeys and onwards along Pennine Bridleway. Good progress to Gisburn where we stopped for refreshments. Very nice too. North on Ribbleway. Mostly reasonably signed. Good views of Ingleborough and Pen Y Ghent. Curlews and a golden plover. Through Rathmell where we stopped to eat Mum’s cake and into Settle for a cider and provisions before ending at Fiona and Nick’s for a lovely evening.Read more
