Set off uphill over the western Pentlands. Chilly start but clear. Got to the Col at Cauldstane Slap -an old right of way. Good path. Then not long down and we saw the Forth Bridges😊. And then the Ochils. Onwards to MidCalder where we got diverted by a new housing estate🙁. Then to Almondell Country park. A delightful spot. Followed the feeder canal for the canal and on to the Union Canal. Forgot to come off this through Broxburn so did a few extra miles🙁. Kept ourselves amused by racing canal boats. Then another diversion. Met Colin and Finn along path and walked back to the car. Quick can of coke and we decided to push on to Linlithgow. A hard and slightly frustrating day.もっと詳しく
