    After Latvia, we continue to head South into the final Baltic State, Lithuania. Our first objective is Kaunas, the second largest city in the country. But on the way, we stop briefly at Kryziu Kalnas, the Hill of Crosses. It's a pilgrimage site on a small hill in the middle of farmers' fields. It's a bit eerie, with over 100,000 crosses left by visitors over the past 130 years. After that, it was on to Kaunas, which has one of the best pedestrian malls we've come across, extending for about 2km and connecting the old medieval city to the new city.
