White Cliffs

The ferry trip from Calais to Dover was a bit on the rough side, with "near gale force" winds. Fortunately, no issues, and when we're safely on land, we set about exploring (quickly) the Southern English coastline. We were surprised by the extent of the White Cliffs, stretching almost to Brighton. The few beaches in this region usually consist of pebbles, not sand. Of course, castles and stately homes are ever-present. Most importantly, the Troopy gets some minor repairs and a new battery when we get to Portsmouth.Read more
