With our storage for the Troopy organised we have a couple of spare days, so we head north to the State Capital, Austin. We manage visits to the Capital Building, State History Museum and downtown. Our visit coincides with a home match (American college football) for the Texas State University, which brings tens of thousands into the city centre. We find a couple of brew pubs and the highlight, a great Texas BBQ restaurant.Les mer

Putting the Troopy to Bed

After packing and some final work on the Troopy, we secure it at an RV/Boat storage facility on the Southern side of San Antonio. We’ve been to the city on a few occasions over the past 20 years. Its growth is impressive (it’s one of the fastest growing cities in the US) as is the development of the famous river-walk. We have time to visit the Alamo (again - it hasn’t changed) before we fly to LA, and then back home.Les mer

Home Again!

The flight across the Pacific never gets any shorter. But it’s uneventful, and despite the immigration IT system crashing (and thousands of arrivals having to be processed by hand) we manage to catch our connecting flight home. Nambucca is as beautiful as we left it. It’s great to be home.Les mer
