  • Mountains inferno

Leaving Prague was tough, 3 days of constant up and downhills, more than 3100 meters of height difference, cycling on the greenway that goes all the way to Vienna. Our legs got extra strong, everything after that felt like a piece of cake, the landscapes were worth itRead more

  • Eclectic day

    July 9, 2024 in Hungary ⋅ ☀️ 34 °C

The last kilometers leading to Budapest were few, but it still took us the whole day to get there, because of our Magyar adventures. While waiting for the ferry to cross the river, we meet two Hungarian cyclists who take us to the best ice cream shop in town, then to the most local Hungarian restaurant ever, and finally show us some beaches to cool down our sweaty bodies, making us arrive at budapest in the eveningRead more

  • On Eurovelo 6 again

    July 13, 2024 in Hungary ⋅ 🌙 28 °C

After saying goodbye to Budapest yesterday, we're alone again, without Henry, Marie or Lilian. Today was complicated, with 3 flat tires and terrible heat.
Our plan was aiming at Dracula's Bran castle in Roumania, but after a few kilometers on bumpy roads were fast cars were driving too close, we decided to shift our destination, and aim at Belgrade so we could follow the much nicer Eurovelo 6
Ended up the day softly with a sunset bath in the Danube, and again, too many mosquitos

  • Mosquitos part 5927473

    July 14, 2024 in Hungary ⋅ 🌙 27 °C

Starting new from Budapest was quite difficult, the second day wasn't so easy to handle either. Today was once again trying to escape the heat and not succeeding too much, riding almost by night because the camping spot we had found was further than expected, and once again fighting mosquitos, trying to escape them by eating in the tent and then getting invaded by ants in the middle of the night because of the dirty dishes we left in the tent. At least things can only go better frome now on!Read more

  • Serbian dolce vita

    July 18, 2024 in Serbia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Serbian life is great so far!! People are so nice and welcoming, always cheering us up on the road, giving us ice cold water and fruits, the camping spots we found were amazing. The only thing is the ongoing heat, but luckily we met an old Serbian farmer who gave us straw hats for free so we could keep our heads fresh. Our first city was Sombor, and then we stayed one night at Novi Sad, Serbia's second biggest town. We are also getting used to riding on the national road beside cars that drive too fast, guess that's the Serbian way to ride a bike😎Read more

  • Goodbye Serbia

    July 25, 2024 in Romania ⋅ 🌙 24 °C

Yesterday has started a new trip within the trip, since teo left for 6 days. I left Serbia almost feeling nostalgic, this was definitely my favorite country so far. My last night there was amazing, cute little camping near the Danube, with plenty of little cats and not so little dogs, and a welcome raki of course.
So today, I first crossed the Bulgarian border, and in the same day the Romanian one. Let's see what this new country have to offer !
