Views, surprise B&B and The Valley of the Temples.

(Valle dei Templi), just outside modern Agrigento, is one of the largest archaeological parks in the world and the most outstanding testimony of ancient Greek presence in Sicily. Despite being called a “valley,” it is actually located along a ridge. This UNESCO site features a remarkable series of seven Doric temples, built mainly in the 5th century BC, that are some of the best-preserved examples of Greek architecture outside Greece. Highlights include the well-preserved Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Heracles, the iconic four columns of the Temple of Castor and Pollux (now a symbol of the city), and the monumental remains of the Temple of Olympian Zeus.Læs mere
