Dining with Alpirsbach Locals

We stopped and chatted to a man and his wife (Hilda?) on our walk home from town on Sunday and they asked us to join them for dinner (breads) on Tuesday. So we did and whilst their english was limited we shared some stories and learnt a lot about their way of life as farmers/foresters as well as holding a full time job as Agronomists.
We were joined bytheir neighbour and he entertained us with some german songs. Not sure our versions of Waltzing Matilda were up to his high standards but they clapped.Read more
