Raymond and I had a lay day so no cycling for us. It gave us the chance to further visit Compiegne before returning to the Feniks to do our washing and enjoy a leisurely cruise .

The skies were grey and everyone checked that their rain jackets were handy.

Cycle Free Day

Arose punctually at 7.55am for 8am breakfast of cereal then scrambled eggs etc and lovely cup of coffee. At nominated time reported along with other cyclists on deck to offload cycles and do the days Czytaj więcej
Dash to Tour End

The last cycle day before Dogs and Robert head home to Oz leaving Geoff Mr Rutherford and I to cycle from Brugges to Paris. Today's ride of 45klm was done by 1am. Rain overnight had the Neckar River Czytaj więcej
A Lazy Day

Everyone was thankful for the fact that today's ride was only around 20klm as the heat from yesterday had certainly impacted on Geoff and Dogs (and I suspect Tickets albeit he would not say so).
Farewell Koblenz

We all were up showered fed and bags in the car by 6.40am. We then enjoyed incident free drive from Alpirsbach mainly on autobahn back to Koblenz where we offloaded our bags onto the Patria and Czytaj więcej

Dining with Alpirsbach Locals

We stopped and chatted to a man and his wife (Hilda?) on our walk home from town on Sunday and they asked us to join them for dinner (breads) on Tuesday. So we did and whilst their english was limited Czytaj więcej

Journey to the Black Forest

We farewelled our fellow travelers onboard the Patria after breakfast and strolled to Saarburg Station where we took a train to Saarbruken. A further short stroll had us at the Europcar rental place Czytaj więcej

After coffee and cake and first aid to the injured we cycled on to Saarburg via the Said River cycle path.

Friday Trier to Wassinbillig

The rain has gone but it's taken too noon for the sun to emerge. We took a tour around the sites of Trier first up before heading to Luxembourg. But in less than 20klm we had two falls.. Geoff and Mr Czytaj więcej
Thursday in Trier

A non stop 35klm cycle to Trier followed by a coffee and cake in the town square. Booked a town walking tour with English speaking guide but the guide never turned up!! The rain which had been Czytaj więcej
