May 21 - the Palace

We stayed right in the centre of Madrid and could walk everywhere. Very busy area but it meant we explored the city's origins, from the first civilisation to now being the grand palace. We had energy to look at the art collection of the monarchs for past 1000years. Spain truly is a land of conquerors and the conquered.
