    Goodbye Malta and hello Sicily. We flew 35mins to Catania, Sicily, taking photos of the active volcano of Mt Etna from the plane. Once settled we walked around and found a very popular local pizza restaurant. 1st sitting at 19:45. OMG the pastries are amazing here.Read more

  • May 13 - Valetta & Marsaxlokk

    May 13 in Malta ⋅ 🌬 21 °C

    A day trip to Valetta via bus. The walled city was established in the 1500s on a peninsula by the Knights of St. John, a Roman Catholic order. The knights protected the harbour from armies from afar and were Doctors (hence st John's ambulance). It’s known for museums, palaces and grand churches. Then a bus to Marsaxlokk fishing village and home.Read more

    May 12 in Malta ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

    Due to weather we had to travel by bus to Bologna to catch our intended flight to Malta, landing at 3am in the morning. After some sleep and breakfast it was time to do our laundry 🧺 so off to the coin operated WM. Then a walk around St Julian's. We are so spoilt for beautiful beaches. For dinner we made our way to the Mdina, the 1st capital of Malta said to be settled before 4000 BC.Read more

  • May 10 & 11 - Venice Baby

    May 11 in Italy ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

    We departed the MSC cruise and made our way via ferry back to Venice for the night. We had a nana nap in the afternoon and ventured out to view an art exhibition by American pop artist Mel Ramos. 🌃 The photos are of nightlife in Venice we discovered a casual hole in the wall restaurant for easy dinner and then a brewery for a few bevies. Happy mother's Day ❤️💋

    Sunday 11 May - breakfast with the seagulls, just getting to the bus before the downpour. Staying at the airport for 5 hours, then a bus trip to Bologna to catch a flight to Malta at 1am. Thanks to the thunderstorm ⛈️ in Treviso.

    3rd stop was Kotor, Montenegro! 🇲🇪 This coastal gem, nestled in a fjord-like bay on the Adriatic Sea, boasts a stunning medieval town. We explored its well-preserved streets, surrounded by an impressive 15th-18th century fortress. Had lunch and local beer 🍻 also known for its local cats and cat museum 😸🐱 What a historic place to explore! 🏰🌊Read more

  • Stop 2 - Corfu Greece

    Our 2nd cruise stop was beautiful Corfu, Greece! 🇬🇷 A hop-on-off bus took us to an airport lookout, (had to watch Ryanair take off) ✈️, then to Prince Philip's birthplace palace. 👑 Then walking Kerkyra's old town alleyways and stopping for a deep fried cheesy lunch & beer.   • Day 9 & 10 Cruising Mediterranean

    May 5 in Croatia ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

    Boarded the MSC cruise ship at Venice. First day Sailing and resting. Second day Dubrovnik. It's a city in southern Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. The old town boasts landmarks as scenes in the Game of Thrones. The city is encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Then grabbing a taxi up to the lookout to see over the old town.Read more

  • Day 7 -Auvers-Sur-Oise

    May 1 in Italy ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

    After breakfast in Montmartre Paris city we journeyed to Auvers-Sur-Oise, country side where Van Gogh lived and painted in 1890. 🎨 It was incredible to visit the Inn where he stayed, and the houses and countryside that inspired his art. We even went up to his room! 🖼️ Such a moving experience. 💖Read more

  • Day 7 - Paris afternoon night

    So after lunch we walked to the Canal Saint Martin and were lucky enough to see the Weir and boat in action. We then walked around to the metro and went to The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre with 10k+ other tourists wanting to see the sunset on the steps. Off to dinner at 9pm and then a walk to Moulin Rouge for a quick pint at the rooftop. A walk through the red light district and back to our accommodation. In the morning we went into the Basilica, had a look at local Instagram La Maison Rose house and had breakfast. Maybe finding a banksy but probably not at the graffiti walls of MontmartreRead more

    Flight was good 🛬 arrived and had lovely walk around Seine River. Visited a local community floating church, had crepes for dinner and goggled over their new 2 seater electric cars

  • Day 3 - 4 Night and day

    To end our hop on-off tour we stopped at the Petronis towers. A truely magnificent work of engineering and architecture. Wrapped in stainless steel and glass, shimmering in the sunlight. Then onto happy hour opposite the KLCC water park. Getting back to the IBIS via the KLIA express train & stopping to take an evening photo of the pool. In the morning a must have coffee and brekkie before heading out to the Mitsui shopping mall to while away the hours at the pool before our flight ✈️Read more
