Roullet Saint Estèphe

Finally had to admit defeat and leave La Rochelle. Last night was interesting to say the least as we did get the high winds and heavy rain that was forecast. Shame as it is such an interesting place but the weather didn't allow us the chance to explore it fully.
Anyway, a break in the weather this morning saw us head south and inland slightly to escape some of the crappy weather. The 2 hour drive was spent fighting the really strong winds and torrential downpours, oh yes and passing all of the closed supermarkets. Note to self 'remember France shuts on a Sunday and don't wait till the fridge is empty before trying to go shopping!'
Tonight sees us in another village aire bordering Bordeaux, the rain is still falling and the wind is still blowing....marvellous!Baca selengkapnya
