Alcoutim

We were told by several people that Alcoutim was a must see. Think perhaps we may have missed something. Parking was behind a small public car park with a very narrow entrance, one of those where you breathe in (like it makes any difference). Having left the last stop before breakfast we took a walk around and town and decided to eat at one of the riverside cafe's. Views were pleasant with Spain being just 100m or so across the river and the food was very good and reasonably priced.
After walking around the hilltop castle and most of the town we went back to the van and were just not feeling a night there so decided, as we were so close, to nip back into Spain. Needed a few supplies and half a tank of diesel and as it was only half hours drive and much cheaper than Portugal, it seemed to make sense to us.Leggi altro
