Puebla de Sanabria

The drive to this aire was pretty spectacular, through national park gaining and losing altitude continuously. The parking was opposite Campismo do Rio de Anor but unfortunately at this time of year all the services were turned off. Wasn't a problem as we had sorted that before we left the last location.
What a stunning little village this is, I took the dog for a walk through it and came across the local band playing outside a bar. The houses are a mish mash of stone and wood with what looks like new builds next to almost derelict houses. We were only about 400 yards from the Spanish border and this must be the narrowest crossing anywhere. Wasn't sure that the motorhome would even fit through the narrow cobbled streets.Read more
