    First downtime

    February 27, 2019 in Norway ⋅ 🌧 4 °C

After catching the ferry in the middle of the night, we decided to continue to the Lofoten this morning. All went (too) well, until we stopped to take a picture and noticed our tyre was flat. Full of optimism, we replaced it for our reserve (space saver). Unfortunately, after the long drive of 2 meters the space saver decided to give up on us. Stuck in the middle of the Lofoten, we called for help and waited.

In the end, we got helped by a garage in the next town who put a new tyre on our car and we were up and running again!

Three things we learned from this?
    1. NEVER pack a space saver when going on a rally in the arctic circle.
    2. ALWAYS pack a Frisbee when going on a rally in the arcitc circle; you never know when you will need it.
    3. Lofoten locals are the nicest people you can meet in such an unfortunate situation.
