Mari Mari cultural village

We visited the Mari Mari cultural village. The village has traditional houses for the 5 major tribes in Sabah:
Kadazan-Dusun
Bajau
Murut
Rungus
Lundayeh
The Murut were the most feared and were head hunters. Head hunting ceased about 100 years ago.
We sampled traditional food, toured the traditional houses, witnessed some of the traditional customs and watched traditional dancing.
After a sundowner in the evening we went out to a delicious traditional Malay meal.Read more
