Nexus and Shangri La, Kota Kinabalu

Our first round of golf for the “Golfing Sector” of our holiday.
We had an early breakfast and checked out prior to playing so that we weren’t under any time pressure.
Looking at the layout on the score card it was evident that there was A LOT of water hazards, either adjacent to, or across the fairways.
Playing with hired clubs is always a challenge as you struggle to adjust to the “new” clubs.
It was good fun, even if very humid - according to the forecast it felt like 42 degrees!
After golf we moved on to the Shangri La Resort. Another impressive building on well looked after grounds. The beach here was much wider and it was about 300m from the hotel to the sea.Read more
