Lago de Atitlan - San Marcos

After a terrible 3 hour drive from Antigua to Panajachel (the thousands of curves and way bumps forced me to concentrate hard on not puking in the crowded minivan) we arrived at Lake Atitlan. We spent two charming days in the hippie town of San Marcos, filling our time with hiking, swimming, and exploring nearby pueblos by boat. Now, we are heading onward to Rio Dulce in the jungle. During our transfer stop in Guatemala City, we decided to buy a sim card for easier navigation. We found a street seller and, thanks to an unexpected promotion, we received four sim cards instead of the single one we paid for! Each card is loaded with 2 GB of internet and 200 free minutes, all for an astonishingly low total of 15 Quetzales (roughly 1,70€) for the whole lot 🙈 Now, we are on the travel bus for the 6 hour drive to Rio Dulce (and this time, learning from my former mistakes, I came prepared with travel pills)Meer informatie
