The Arrival

We left Heathrow at 5 30pm and set off on our travels to see Ben, Jacqui & Molly. Flights were good and great hugs with Ben at gate B Sydney airport. We arrived at their new apartment at 8.30am and so excited to meet Molly for the first time. Our second great grandaughter is absolutely gorgeous.Read more

Fathers day in Oz

Father's day in Australia, we all went out for lunch with Jaqcui's parents and brother. It was a lovely afternoon and everyone enjoyed.

Botony bus trip

The boys all went to golf ⛳️ and Jaqcui, Linda (Jaqcui's mum) and I went on the bus to Botony we had a walk and went to the boat shed for lunch, I had a lovely Strawberry Sour 🍓 cocktail, yummy yum.

Rose Bay, Sea Plane

Wow, what a day, Ben & Jaqcui treated Martin to a sea plane adventure, for his birthday, and I got to go along, too. We had to be in Rose Bay for 10.15am and took off at 10.45. It was very different to flying, but brilliant all the same. The pilot gave a running commentary of what was below us, and the views were fantastic. Martins 70th Birthday

It was a momentous day, not only Martins 70th but Ben's first day as a business owner. He was up and out at 5am in his brand new van. We had a great day, Jaqcui and Molly walked to the boat shed, botony and we caught the bus. Met up and had lunch. Gem fish and chips piled high, enough for 6 of us it was huge. We went off and walked around the fortress, Jaq walked home. When ben got home, we went for Steak & Ribs 😋 We now find out our superstar granddaughter #3 Faye, who has been awarded star of the week at school. Celebration time

We were invited to Jaqcui's mum and dad's 40th wedding anniversary at the Cafe Sydney. Wow what a lovely place to celebrate 🥳 overlooking the Harbour Bridge. The food & drink were fantatic too. We caught the train & tram there so parking was not an issue. Settled down for another episode of the terminal list.Read more

Lunch at the Boat Shed

Jaqcui & Molly were out all day today with their mums group, so we decided to jump on the bus to Botony and lunch at the bost shed. We had a lovely lunch, a bucket of prawns!! We walked along to the fortress then and down to the sea shore, watching the fishing. Had an ice cream on the cliff top and walked back to the bus stop.
Ben came home early, and we all took Bobby out for a long walk. Great day.Read more

Day out in the City

Breakfast out of the eay and Bobby walked, we set off for a day in the city. We got the train from Waterloo then the metro, 20 mins, and we we're in Berangeroo. We walked along the waterside and towards the ferries, stopping for a lovely lunch. We retraced our steps and walked along the rocky water front towards the harbour bridge and then around the cruise terminal, where we sailed into 2 years ago on Arcadia. We had a coffee and fed & changed Molly, then headed back on the metro & train. We were all tired as it was 29 degrees in Sydney today, and all except Molly were ready for a nap 😴 we all took it in turns to persuade Molly it was time to sleep before her next feed at 7pm! Another great day in Oz.Read more

TravelerFascinating building structures and views of the harbour and bridges. I’m sure you each walked your feet off but that’s the only way to enjoy your surroundings. I’m sure Molly was oblivious to all of it …. She is going to miss you both spoiling her when it is time to leave. Such proud Great Grandparents and Ben is loving his role as Dad. Xxxx
