    Left Southampton

    July 31, 2025 in Ireland ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

We left Southampton @ 4.30pm with thunder claps and lightening , so load we thought the ship had been hit. The balcony flooded in about 5 minutes with the volume of rain that came down. Not windy, though, thankfully, so no rocking and rolling. Went to the crown grill tonight beautifully steaks and then a show, MOBO fabulous soul singers. Finished off with a cocktail, great 1st day.Read more

  • Falmouth in Cornwall

    August 1, 2025 in Ireland ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Woken up at 6am with the ship putting the tenders/lifeboats down to get us all into Falmouth for the day. Today is a tender in day, so there is also a bingbong announcement every 30 mins from 7.30am to tell everyone when they can go ashore. We were finally ready at 11am after talking to Faye & Grace as its fayes birthday 10 years old, already. We got on the tender and walked into town. Coffee and a cake, then back on the tender for ride back to the ship. Good ships theatre company show tonight, some good singers and dancers.Read more

  • 1st Sea Day on way to Greenland

    August 3, 2025, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

Pretty uneventful day, reading and people watching, we also watched the grand prix. Martin had a massive sweet treat yesterday, and I spent most of the day steering him away from another one. We went to the Ocean grill, what a lovely porterhouse and lamb chops cooked to perfection. Martin found a gin he likes, in a can!! Goes down very well any time of the day or night. Captain told us all to prepare for storm floris! Rocking a bit, but no issues. YET.Read more

  • Day 2 at sea on the way to Greenland

    August 4, 2025, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ 🌬 12 °C

Well, it was a rocky night, Martin didn't sleep at all!! Noisy and rocky it was. We went to a pop-up bbq last, bit spicy for me but a lovely change. Last nights show was a Witney Houston sound alike!! She was good 👍Read more

  • Day 3 at sea on way to Greenland

    August 5, 2025, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ 🌧 10 °C

Pretty uneventful day again, reading, sleeping, and people watching. We went to the crown grill again last night Lobster 🦞 😋 was on the menu, yummy it was great. Magician in the theatre, he was very entertaining, Davey McAuly was his name.Read more

  • Nanortalik Greenland

    August 6, 2025 in Greenland ⋅ 🌫 7 °C

Terrible tender day. They have been announcing tender operations since 7am it's 11.25am now and still only 60% of people off the ship. We have priority tender tickets but still have to wait as the tender is stuck on land filling up with people coming back and with only one docking station its going to be a long process. Did get ashore @ 11.30 and going the queue to come back at 1.20. Two hours later, we arrived back onboard. Hope they learn from this as we have two more tender days.Read more

  • Qaqortoq Greenland

    August 7, 2025 in Greenland ⋅ ⛅ 9 °C

Much better tender service today, we were ashore @ 11.30, went for a walk but the roads were terrible, rocks and pot holes and no pavements. We saw some bigger icebergs, took a few pics and found a coffee shack. Pint of local beer 7% mind and a small coffee was £12.50 and we complain about Costa!! But the shop was full and the owners were very 😊. We still fail to see why Trump wants to take over Greenland? No where flat enough for a golf course! 🤣Read more

  • Cruising Prinz Christian Sound, Greenlan

    August 8, 2025 in Greenland ⋅ ☀️ 9 °C

What a day cruising beautiful fyords in Greenland. We have yet to see any wildlife though? Couple of birds but no seals, polar bears, or puffins. Still no wildlife, one whale spout on the way out of the sound. The scenery was stunning though, definitely crowning glory to the trip to Greenland. 2 sea days next.Read more

  • Reykjavik

    August 11, 2025 in Iceland ⋅ 🌬 13 °C

We caught the courtesy bus into the centre of Reykjavik today. We had a lovely walk around and visited the cathedral, a fabulous shaped building.
There were several interesting buildings. Had a great day, maybe sit under the stars with a blanket or two as it's only 12 degrees at the moment tonight's movie under the stars is Wicked.Read more

  • Grundarfjord

    August 12, 2025 in Iceland ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

Last port of call before we head for home. It's been a right miserable day. Martin has picked up a cold from somewhere and is sneezing 😷 a lot. We woke after a rough crossing for Reykjavik to thick fog and rain. It didn't stop till @ 2pm and as we were leaving at 4 pm abd it was a tender port we decided to give it a miss. The scenery from the ship was good when the fog lifted. Some very game of thronesish!! Next stop, Southampton.Read more
