Waimea Canyon

Next we headed to Waimea canyon, there are lots of spots along the way to pull over and admire the views, also a few big 'proper' lookouts. We headed for some of the furthest spots so we could make our way back for our sail this afternoon. The canyon is so beautiful, lots of colours and goats! Cute little goats jumping around. Kauai is the oldest of the Hawaiian islands which explains the canyon, much more time for erosion from old rivers and wind etc. We wound our way slowly back down the mountains, stopping in and out of spots for more photos. Also got our first sunburn, swapped bags over this morning and forgot to grab the sunscreen, whoops! Czytaj więcej
