• Huskisson

Next we popped into Huskisson to get our bearings, we've both been here before, but it's been a while. We spotted where our cruise will leave from tomorrow, and headed into the Huskisson Hotel for a feed. It was Taco Tuesday, so we got some fish tacos, a schnitty of course, and we grabbed some wings too. We had a booth so Pup was pretty relaxed. Back to the airbnb to watch the Survivor finale! Woo Feras!

  • Jervis Bay Passage Cruise

We had a bit of a sleep in today as our Jervis Bay Passage Cruise was booked for 1:30pm. We did wake to a call asking if we could join the 11am cruise instead, as the weather was meant to turn by the afternoon, as well as not having the numbers. We hussled and got ourselves ready so we'd make it in time. As we arrived, we saw the massive dolphin and whale watching boat taking off, as our captain, Henry, wandered over to make sure Pup was coming with him as he loves dogs. He was very excited about him, while Pup pretended that he didn't exist haha. Only 5 of us on the cruise, and Henry put us up the front so Pup had more space to spread out. The seats weren't going to work for him to sit up with us, so we weren't sure how he'd go.

  • The beach coastline

Pup settled in quite well, we cruised past the beaches we'd visited yesterday, so beautiful even with the clouds. We chose this cruise as it looked like it showcased more of the rocky coastlines, with a chance of seeing sealife. Rocks are very much our (my) thing, so I was very excited. We also went past Bowen Island, a penguin sanctuary. Time wise, we didn't see any, but Henry was telling us about the research associated and how he often drops the researchers or scuba divers over there.

  • ROCKS

We had a big crossing across the open water to get to Point Perpendicular. It was like a roller-coaster, once I knew Ben had hold of pup, I was having way too much fun, as the others screamed or hung on for dear life. I definitely see why the cruise this afternoon isn't going ahead with swells expecting to rise. The other side of the coastline was absolutely spectacular, we had no idea until we'd researched this tour, that sites like this were down here, very glad we went. We got a good look at the old torpedo tubes along the way, and our small boat could get very close to the rock walls which was awesome.

  • Flamin Galah!

The weather was turning and our time was running out, so we headed back, getting splashed in the face a few times. Pup was so good, only getting quite unsettled at one point with the big swells. We were getting pretty hungry, so we headed to the Flamin Galah brewery for a feed and to try some beers. Pup even weed in the garden! Peeing in public again! Who is he?! We had corn ribs, bao and fish tacos, the beers were pretty good too! We headed back to the airbnb not long later as it was getting cold and we needed to get organised and packed to head home tomorrow.
