Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Chartered an Okada to the Tacaguma Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The road up to the gate has a steep gradient and I had to get off the bike for it to climb.

The tour started at 2:30pm with a pep talk followed by a visit to the 3 different enclosures where the chimpanzees are kept.

Heavy rain started while we were at the last section, and we were stuck there for almost 30 minutes. When it subsided, we braved the walk back to the reception area. My sneakers were completely soaked, and the sole opened up.
