Worst trek of my life - altitude sick!

I never felt such a long time so bad during any sport activity like yesterday 😵: Went on a 14km trek up to Laguna 69 on around 4600m altitude. Thought I am already acclimatized as I have been on a short trek >5000m one day before. Big mistake!

I felt already a bit sick before and on the trek from km 4 on it all became worse 😲: Headache, nausea, no coordination (like drunk), very hard breath....thought I would never make it to the laguna 😞!

But I pushed through, which resulted in the end in 10km (or 5h) suffering. And as top of the cake, when I arrived @ the laguna, heavy rain hit in and stayed for the whole way back to the bus, got so soacking wet 😥.

But to put it positive: Learned to overcome my body by will, but though need to listen more to my body before next treks and take more care about proper acclimatization 😃.Läs mer
