    Embarkation and Aaanse Schans Windmills

    Ready to board the ship and on the way we stopped at the cutest town, Aanse Schans, with active windmills cutting lumber, and creating paint ingredients. We were welcomed to our fantastic room with Champaign and fruit. We had dinner in the large dining room and sat in back not knowing that the Captain and an officer or two sat behind us. My fun loving girls who were enjoying their drinks had a bit of fun banter with them. Great way to start our cruise.Read more

    AmaSiena fun

    The AmaSiena was great with lots to celebrate on the first day and night. We loved our room and the night began with good food, laughs and a game we won. There was some question as to if we won honestly since Dana argued that we needed an extra point....but who cares we won a bottle of wine with lots of laughs along the way.Read more

    Rhine Castles & Grapevine Hike Day 6

    Cruising along the Rhine we saw so many wonderful castles including the Enemy Brothers (Sterrenberg and Lieberstein castles). We sat on the top deck to watch the castles, small villages and grape vines go by. We hiked 6 miles through a grape orchards to the Niederwald monument to commemorate the unification of Germany. My hips screamed the entire way and thank goodness for my daughter's arms to hang on to.Read more

    Heidelberg Castle Ludwigshafen Day 7

    Visit to the Heidelberg Castle. First mention of this castle was in 1196 as "Heidelberch" castle, its ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. The castle is a combination of several buildings surrounding an inner courtyard. Each building highlights a different period of German architecture. Two huge wine barrels, one really big and an ancient sundial in the courtyard. The castle was damaged by fire, lightning and war.Read more

    The Gems of Alsace Tour (Strasbourg)

    Strasbourg is both Germany & France due to borderline location. The La Petite France district was quant and visited the Cathedral de Notre Dame cathedral viewing its Astronomical clock. We dined at a cafe where Dana and Laura enjoyed laughs with snails and champagne. More chocolate was eaten and purchased.Read more

    Lucerne to Mt. Pilates

    Traveled via Gondola to Mt. Pilatus and we all sang songs. Great views of the Lakes around Lucerne and Zurich. Loved Lucerne, maybe favorite city. We had so much fun and silliness on the gondola. Laura and Dana sang songs from The Wonderful Sound of Music.Read more

    Zurich was beautiful city and lake , we had a tour of city. Roses filled 2 fountains due to upcoming Easter and your could drink from any fountain. Dinner was exiting at Steak house and then Dana got the trots from an expresso martini. I gave her 20 year old medicine and it worked.Read more
