Anna Plains station

Left Eighty Mile Beach with a bit of a tear in our eye, realizing this was probably our last visit.
Continued north to another little fave, Anna Plains, which is a working cattle station on a little plot of land... just a million acres..... but still on the eighty mile beach.
Spent 4 days beachcombing and trying our hand at beach fishing. Steve was the winner with a 66cm threadfin salmon. Unfortunately, there are no awards for his filleting skills. But it was his first attempt.
Also enjoyed an afternoon at the artesian hot tub, which was out in the scrub. Fabulous... who needs a fancy spa. To top our stay off, 2 of the long termers came down while we were packing up with 2 bags of fillets. How special is that. Off to Broome to shop for next 3 weeks as completely off grid .Read more
