Trip summary

The days were slow and joyful, yet somehow this trip passed incredibly fast. Tomorrow I’m heading back to Denmark.

During this visit, I experienced a new kind of fear - hearing the air raid alarm while my sister-in-law sat in the backseat holding my 4-month-old niece, peacefully asleep in her arms. I think that image will stay with me for a very long time.

Turning back to the brighter side of this trip, my auntie status this week included:

✅ 4 diapers changed
✅ 3 successful “falling asleep” missions 💪🏼
✅ countless hours of playing
✅ many smiles achieved

In the meantime, I enjoyed helping my mom with everyday tasks (including cutting the grass 😄) and slowing down enough to appreciate the little things, like evening birds concerts around 6pm every day.Read more
