Catacombe S.Callisto

Very interesting trip down into the catacombe. Founded in the 3rd century and the resting place of Popes who were all moved and hidden in the 8th century to keep them safe.
Very informative guide who was very passionate about his faith and the persecution of Christians.
Well worth a visit and very quiet.
Be prepared for steps... no lifts here.Read more
