Totally blown away by the Sistine Chapel. No pics as copyrighted but visit this spot. Will change your life.
Michelangelo did not want to paint it. He spent 7 months saying no to the Pope before agreeing and he was paid $500,000. He took 4 years to paint it.
He came back 20 years later to paint the Last Judgment which is spectacular. It's also where they hold Conclave for the appointment of a new pope. The 2 ancient stoves are removed unless conclave and the chimneys are removed. The pics are from the Vatican museum.
