Ben and I left for Portugal first with the rest of the family coming later in the week. After breakfast at Wetherspoons we made our way to the train station for the first part of our trip to ArganilWeiterlesen

We arrived late at our accommodation and went straight to bed. We have explored the apartment this morning and it is very nice. Well equipped, clean and has plenty of room.

We visited a viewpoint known as Wren’s Balance. The road was very sketchy but the view and swing at the top were amazing.

We arrived in Figueira da Foz and took a stroll down to a very rough sea shore. The beach was empty and a long way from the promenade.

Like many things in Portugal this building is old and deteriorating. You can take tour on Fridays and Saturdays though so hopefully it will be restored one day.

We all visited the land today and had a good explore. We visited all of the weeks and springs and had a good look around the entire 12 acres.

We drove to the top of the mountain and it was cold, very cold. Even had snow on the ground. We all had a lovely cup of hot chocolate, brought some souvenirs and then raced back to the car.
