After a lovely flight we touched down in Krakow. Found the bus stop, bought the tickets (£1.20 each for a 40 min ride.) just waiting to leave the airport and head into Krakow.

Found a lovely restaurant called Veganic about 5 mins from the main square. We ordered, for starters, Hummus with Roasted Beetroot and Sweet Potato Fries. Becky had Oyster Mushroom Chops on Purée with Roasted Garlic and I had Brooked Spaghetti with Avocado.Les mer

We spent a very happy morning inside this fantastic place. We travelled to 125 metres below ground. We saw chapels and statues and visited the place where the deepest bungie jump and the deepest balloon flight happened. An amazing place that is well worth a visit.Les mer

Birthday dinner at a lovely Restaurant in the Jewish quarter called Hamas. Food was excellent as were the staff. Again only £25.00 for dinner “birthday cake” and drink.

Sign like this (Eat, Drink, Rest) are appearing all over Krakow to help the Ukrainian refugees that are arriving in their thousands. We felt helpless as we did not speak their language and could not help. By the time evening arrived there were many many families preparing to spend the night in the train station.Les mer

We visited this awful place after Auschwitz. The quiet here is so deep. The whole area has an aura that true evil happened here from the bunk houses to the gas chambers although I found the children’s bunk rooms to be the most heartbreaking. The weight of lives lost here is heavy on the soul.Les mer
