• Tunnel Creek Walk

    September 21, 2024 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

We only managed a small section of this walk - guessing 150m of an 850m (meant to be 1.7km return). Disappointing, but we just didn't have quite the right preparation! Did get to see a couple of cane toads. Find out later that in the parks they like people to catch them (put in plastic bags and dispose of them). No one was doing this in our sight!
I would suggest for this walk if we can go again - eat and drink before you go (don't worry about taking this stuff with you), no hat or sunglasses required either, wear your bathers (or gear you're happy to get fully wet), reef shoes (or runners OK to get wet), decent head torch and a small waterproof bag for your mobile/camera. That's it!
