Festival of Lights Geraldton

Takes us a while to find a parking spot - the streets around the festival are full. We arrive to find a wonderful family orientated festival. Children everywhere with plenty of free activities provided - also right beside the wonderful foreshore playground - so it's very busy.
Have to say this wasn't a Festival of Lights as I envisaged - thought there would be pretty lighting everywhere, really just a standard looking festival, but was well organised with plenty of food vendors (good selection) and the stage area - kept busy with local entertainment. Roger and I certainly enjoyed our food - shared Nachos, then had our own selection of French pancakes - savoury for me, sweet for Rog. We ended up cooler than we expected (I did take a light jumper) - both agreeing we could do with jeans on (instead of our shorts). For this reason mainly, we came 'home' before the festival officially finished. Glad we went - it was nice to be part of.Läs mer
