AllTrails walks about Echuca

Well - my attempt at getting myself ready for this year's Dunkeld's Serra Terror Hike! Figure if I can manage 20km today, and 20km tomorrow without injury - that will be about as good as I'll get for 'training' this year! Not enough for sure - especially as it's flat walking - but enough of a base for me to have a crack! The day, now (rain stopped earlier), is overcast and cold - so I've got my waterproof light coat, Beanie and gloves on - that's keeping me comfy. I'm so glad I'm using the Alltrails App - I would literally be lost without it! It has saved me from going off track at least twice today. Even though I know I should be going up and down hills - I enjoy this walk today - does feel strange to be in my hiking gear in a city! I'm not pushing myself - so the walk takes longer than I expect, and with my phone going flat just at the end of my walk, I'm not exactly sure how far I've walked - would be over my 20kms that I wanted though. Happy to see Roger waiting to collect me - sitting in the ute in a parking area. Should sleep well tonight!Read more
