This section of town features ... well... you know.Apparently the pigeons didn't think the eagles were doing it right.At noon the mechanism of this church come into action to present at the court of the emperor.The apprentice working with the master on this fountain wanted to court the master's daughter.2So the apprentice stayed up all night fashioning a brass ring in the ironwork.The master was impressed with the boy's skill and relented. Make a wish when you spin the ring.2Legend has it the contractors could not agree on a design for the towers, so they built differently.In the progression of life, youthful ambition gives rise to avarice and then dissipation.     The Christkind is not the Christ child, as the name suggests. It's a pretty girl angel who is sent because apparently she will be less intimidating. In spite of the Christian overtone, it's not really any better than Santa who, in these parts is accompanied by Krampus. Krampuses get their own event, the Krampus run. In any case, this market is the place to shop for Christmas.Read more
