Prisoner of war camp, very interesting. The Japanese gardens were amazing this visit. Peace bell, a replication of the bell at the United Nations, mural in the lane.

Traveling to Wodonga

Today we left Cowra and moved further south to Wodonga on the NSW Victoria border.

The Hume dam was at capacity, an impressive body of stored water.
Army museum, a focus on logistics and support to the troops. Large site all undercover.

Australia day @ Glenrowan. We did all things Ned Kelly. And had roast lamb dinner. Oh and the local white wine, should have stayed on the vine.

Today we took a drive to Joanna's beach, then mariners lookout, overlooking Apollo bay. down to Shelly beach.
After some lunch back into the forest to the Californian redwoods and hopetoun falls.

We arrived on the spirit of tasmanian at 6.00am disembarked, and set up camp at Mersey beach.
Restock with fruit veggies.
Our caravan park at Mersey beach is great, for a morning walk.
LaTrobe to Spreyton

This was a stop over on our way down the west coast.

Joanne and I hiked for 3 hours to the most amazing falls in Tassie.
Along the rail trail in the it was the most peaceful quite path, we stomped for 1 hour or so . Stop at the falls, took in the view Czytaj więcej

Another low cost camp at the golf club. While here we did the wilderness rainforest rail to Dubbil Barril. The next day we did the Gordon river cruise, and the history of the convict settlement. Not Czytaj więcej

Camped at recreation oval This granite afl park, is best played on when snow has fallen. Stream train ride down to Dubbil Barril. The lookout over the old copper mine pit.
