Today we went to a little beach called Playa Loberia. Unlike Tijeretas which was quite protected, this beach was exposed so we weren’t sure how the visibility would be. When we saw the waves crashing against the rocks along the walk we were wondering if it would even be swimmable let alone good for snorkelling. Thankfully there was a section more or less protected by rocks, so while the visibility wasn’t great the water was calm enough for us to have a go. And lucky we did because we were lucky enough to be joined by 2 juvenile sea lions and their mumma, staying close by to make sure they were safe. The babies were very curious, somersaulting around us and watching us closely. After a little while we left them to see what else we could find (not much, the visibility really was terrible). After a little rest we came back in and we were quickly joined by another sea lion pup, who sal discovered was fascinated by bubbles. We had lunch with a hermit crab then headed back to our accom to enjoy some homemade piña coladas.Read more
