Santillana del Mar

Stopped here on our way to the
Picos de Europa. Main claim to fame is that it is a lovely medieval village and a short way out of town there is some prehistoric rock art. However it I found it too cutesy and tourism driven.

What was more interesting is that the place is also known as the village of 3 lies. It is not holy (santi), flat (llana) or by the sea (del mar)!Читать далее
