Cheela Plains Station

At the end of our stay in Exmouth Lewys declared it the best place on earth and announced that he would be moving there to live as soon as possible.

Our next stop was Cheela Plains Station. It was a great spot to stay with the camp sites in a circle around a big grassy patch where the kids could play, a big rocky hill with great views next to the campsite and a walking trail out to a natural cave.

Through luck rather than planning we were at Cheela Plains for their campfire grilled burger night. A couple of ladies sat down next to us for dinner and Kelly asked them how long they were staying for, it turns out it was the station owner and her mother in law. It was interesting to hear about their life on the station and running the station stay business alongside the farm.Read more
