Staircase to the moon - Hearson Cove

After an early dinner we headed to Hearson Cove, near where we did the rock art tour, to see if we could see the famous staircase to the moon. It was an overcast day so we weren't optimistic, and as the time for moonrise passed it looked like the clouds were going to block the moon entirely.

Many people got into their cars and left, but our patience was rewarded as after 15 minutes the moon appeared through a gap in the clouds and created a spectacular reflection along the mud flats all the way to shore.Läs mer
