    Gordon River World Heritage site

    February 21, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 12 °C

As the Gordon River is a world heritage site, the boat switched over to electric engines for quiet running at lower speeds. The air was clear and the sites were stunning. It was beautifully clear and, with a bit of rain as we went.
We stopped at the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park Heritage Landing rainforest boadwalk and were able to walk through a small portion of the national park rainforest. It is not called rainforest for nothing. It did rain a good portion of the walk, which lasted about half hour before we got back on the boat and headed back down towards Macquarie Harbour.
