Cradle Mountain-Enchanted Walk

After finishing at the Interpretation Centre we did the Enchanted Walk which was a fair bit longer than the Rainforest walk, and this took us up to having an early lunch, as Lindsay had a massage at Pepper's Cradle Mountain Lodge at 12.45.
We were amazed how low the streams and creeks are, and, for rainforests, just how dry everything is. For a place that gets 300 days of rain per year and given the rest of Australia is in the midst of la nina weather, Tasmania has had very little rain this summer, and even the locals are saying this.Read more
