Arrived. Settled into hotel and humidity. Walked for some dumplings and searched in vain for a cold bottle of wine... 😂 Returned to hotel bar for alternative to drinking in bed.

Delicious breakfast after sleeping with the light on cos Sam doesn't know how to use light switches apparently...
Anyhow.... Bus trip around the city and out to the Botanical gardens. Stunning walk around the orchid gardens witnessed a snake trying to catch a lizard. Valda's attention seeking behaviour walking into the canopy on the bus!
An afternoon break around the pool with the obligatory bottle of wine. Some entertainment with what we think was a Japanese influencer in her clothes swimming in the pool whilst being filmed x 3 others. ..
Off to Raffles to Singapore Sling, mostly cos it'd be rude not to. View of MBS at sunset... Pretty impressive building. Dinner and wine to finish a lovely day. Kept Valda upright... WinningRead more

Sleep in.... Little India, excellent spot for some shopping and a visit to the temple.Then off to Chinatown. Delicious lunch a look around and return to the hotel for a much needed sip in the pool. Night bus tour which was really good, included a stop at Marina Barrage which is effectively the pumphouse for the dam, a light dinner at Lau Pa Sat and the light show at garden by the bay.Read more

Gardens by the Bay... Beautiful gardens with some indoors stuff to keep us cool. And I got to see my second snake for the trip (not a euphrism).
A short walk in the rain to Marina Bay Sands. The view from the Sky deck was pretty impressive.
Wine by the pool then Chinatown for some dinner. Not as impressive as we thought it might be. Singapore Flyer to top of the night.Read more

Shopping on Orchard Rd....
Hawkers lunch and an afternoon by the pool for Valda and I headed to Bugs St Markets and the synagogue.
Dinner at the famous Jumbo's restaurant... Don't bother...just saying.Read more

Zoo day... Exhausting but glad we did it...
I saw another snake in the garden at the zoo! Green tree snake this time, and the ugliest rodent on the face of the earth.
Dinner at Roos and a couple of G and Ts and now having bed wine watching replays of MasterChef and building shows.

Anyways.. it's been a fantastic trip that I'm very happy happened.Read more

Wonder around Raffles and walk to the Merlin statue. A bit of a last lounge around the pool then off to the airport home bound.
