Thoughts on Avignon and Narbonne

Two medium sized French towns both with historic centres. Of the two Avignon with its complete city walls, bridge and palace is the more celebrated. Maybe that is why to us Narbonne seemed the friendlier and more relaxed of the two. Think visiting in winter was good as the palaces etc were less busy.
