Auckland Day 2 - Soggy

The weather has turned wet and our planned expedition to Rangitoto Island was cancelled. No point walking to the top of a volcanic peak in the pouring rain to see nothing but clouds.
Plan B involved drinkypoos! We were going to visit the Sky City tower in Auckland but it's $47 to get up the the viewing platform but about $45 to go to the bar slightly below the platform and get a cocktail and nibbles. Oh dear, what a decision.
So drinks it was. Nice view from up there too.
Bit of a palaver getting back. Problem with another Uber driver claiming a no show and charging. While we were waiting there was a huge flash of lightning and a massive thunder clap. Shame we weren't still in the tower for that.Læs mere
