• Drake Shake 2

    We have made it across the Drake Passage more or less in one piece. Closing in on the Antarctic Peninsula. It did not give us an all out hard time but it was rough and tiring. A lot of people confined to cabin. When you hit a bigger wave, you slip down or across the bed. No fun. Glad that bit is over.
    Saw our first iceberg today. Quite a big sucker. Bigger than the ship. Went on deck to get a picture and it was snowing quite hard.
    Heading for the Fish Islands at the moment. Should be there tomorrow lunch time. They have to see what the ice is like to see what we can do.
    Oh, it's dark now and we haven't seen Antarctica yet. Tomorrow.
