Back in the Big City

Did the trip back to Buenos Aires from Ushuaia today. Beautiful clear morning in Ushuaia, raining in BA. Got a nice view of the Fuegan Andes this time but BA was clouded in.
Somewhere along the line we passed the Ortelius. She is heading for Montevideo, just across the Rio Plata from BA, but she is not scheduled to get there until the 10th.
Immediately went shopping for a fly rod. Cerrado. Closed. The tackle shop doesn't do siesta hours and closes at 5. We got somewhat soggy in the process. Will try again tomorrow but try not to get so wet as we have a plane to catch at 6pm.
Going to be a long night.
PS: Forgot to mention that we figured out how to get a taxi from the city airport without getting ripped off. Cost was less than half of the last trip 😀Read more
