Joshua Tree National Park

After 5 hours of driving, we finally reached Joshua Tree Nationalpark. Like Death Valley, the Park was located in the Desert. But way greener than The Valley. We found ourselves a nice campground inside the NP, a simple place where you check yourself in with a simple envelope and a mail box for money. Our camping space offers some shade, a picnic table, a fireplace and a bbq. Pretty awesome!
After setting up the tent ⛺️ we went to see the Skull Rock and to hike a little loop - the discovery trail. Joshua tree offers really beautiful and dry landscapes!
We learned today, that the park gets the name by the Joshua Trees, you find all over the park 🤪.
After the loop we drove to the Cholla Cactus 🌵 Garden. And guess what we saw? Cactuses 🌵 MANY of them!

Nach 5 Stunden Fahrt erreichten wir schließlich den Joshua Tree Nationalpark. Wie Death Valley lag der Park in der Wüste. Aber viel grüner als The Valley. Wir fanden einen schönen Campingplatz innerhalb des NP, total simpel gehalten: man kann sich mit einem Umschlag für Geld und einem Briefkasten selbst Einchecken. Unser ausgesuchter Platz bietet etwas Schatten, einen Picknicktisch, eine Feuerstelle und einen Grillplatz. Ziemlich cool!
Nachdem wir das Zelt ⛺️ aufgebaut hatten, fuhren wir zum Skull Rock und wanderten eine kleine Runde - den Discovery Trail. Der Joshua Tree NP bietet eine wirklich schöne und trockene Landschaft!
Wir haben heute erfahren, dass der Park den Namen von den Joshua Trees bekommt, die man überall im Park findet 🤪.
Danach fuhren wir zum Cholla Cactus 🌵 Garden. Und rate mal, was wir gesehen haben? Kakteen 🌵 VIELE davon! Czytaj więcej
