Bako National Park

For the last two days and nights Matthias and I visited Bako National Park. An area famous for the Proboscis Monkeys, Bearded Pigs and the variety of vegetations. We got to the NP by boat, a very smooth ride (if you do not think of the crocodiles 🐊 in the water 😂).
We spend two nights at the National Park’s Accommodation - a basic 4 bed dorm
we shared with a great Swiss-couple 😊.
The first day Matthias and me hiked a couple in of trails to spot the famous Proboscis Monkeys and to get to some view points. A lot of hiking with humid climate and sunny hot temperatures 🥵. The views of the beaches were nice and the funny kind of monkeys very interesting - much nicer than the stealing cocky normal monkeys 🤗. After an exhausting day we spend the evening with Lara and Sämi, our new 🇨🇭- friends.
Together we went for a hike on the NP‘s longest and most exhausting trail the next day. A trail that lead us to a nice waterfall - the only place for a refreshing swim without the dangerous 🐊. Late in the afternoon and absolutely tired of walking and the weather we got back to the accommodation and NP’s Headquarter. Some food for dinner and straight to bed!

Today we took an early boat back to Kuching. After the four of us checked in and did some laundry we headed to a Cafe for the rest of the day! The cafe is absolutely amazing! They play Christmas Music, offer great food and drinks and have a nice area, where you can play games! We played monopoly for around 5 hours 😂. A perfect last day on Borneo with very nice People.
Tomorrow we are heading to Kuala Lumpur to meet Vany 😍.

Die letzen zwei Tage und Nächte verbrachten Matthias und ich im Bako Nationalpark. Ein Geniet, das für die Proboscis-Affen, Bartschweine und die Vielfalt der Vegetation bekannt ist. Wir wurden mit dem Boot zum NP gebracht, eine sehr entspannte Fahrt (wenn man nicht an die Krokodile 🐊 im Wasser denkt 😂).
Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte in der Unterkunft des Nationalparks - einem einfachen 4-Bett-Schlafsaal, den wir mit einem netten Schweizer Paar teilten 😊.
Am ersten Tag wanderten Matthias und ich ein paar Trails, um die berühmten Nasen-Affen (Penisnasenaffen) zu sehen und zu einigen Aussichtspunkten zu gelangen. Viel Wandern bei feuchtem Klima und sonnigen heißen Temperaturen 🥵. Die Aussicht auf die Strände war schön (nichts zum umhauen) und die seltsamen und lustig aussehenden Affen sehr interessant - viel angenehmer als die stehlenden und aufmüpfigen normalen Affen 🤗. Nach einem anstrengenden Tag verbrachten wir den Abend mit Lara und Sämi, unseren neuen 🇨🇭- Freunden.
Gemeinsam machten wir am nächsten Tag die Wanderung des längsten und anstrengendsten Pfad des NP. Ein Weg, der uns zu einem schönen Wasserfall, dem einzigen Ort für ein erfrischendes Bad ohne die gefährlichen 🐊🐊, führte. Am späten Nachmittag, absolut erschöpft vom Wandern und dem Wetter kamen wir zurück zur Unterkunft und dem HQ des NP. Etwas zu Abend essen und direkt ab ins Bett!

Heute sind wir dann zu viert mit einem frühen Boot zurück nach Kuching gefahren. Nachdem wir vier eingecheckt und Wäsche gewaschen hatten, gingen wir für den Rest des Tages in ein Café. Das Café ist absolut fantastisch! Dort wird Weihnachtsmusik gespielt, es gibt gutes Essen und Trinken und eine bequeme Ecke, in dem man Spiele spielen kann! Wir spielte Monopoly für ungefähr 5 Stunden 😂. Ein perfekter letzter Tag auf Borneo mit sehr netten Leuten.
Morgen fahren wir dann nach Kuala Lumpur und treffen Vany 😍.Read more
