Japan 88 Temples Pilgrimage

Will I come back to finish the 88 temples? Yes.

Walked: 273 km in 13 days
Temples visited: 31
Temples on top of mountains: 6
Signage: patchy: from very good to completely absent
Injuries: none
Terrain: 80% road. Too much tarmac. But some of this can be done by bus/train/DMV. Shikoku is the most rural main island and its countryside is beautiful, towns less so.
Gradient: either mostly flat or very steep.
